WATCHMAN DOCTRINE In Matt. 15. 7- Jesus claimed: [Ye] hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8- This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me. 9- But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men. Paul prophetizes in 1st Tim. 4: 1- Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines (doctrines) of devils; . In Mt. 16.12, Jesus alerted his disciples to be careful with the yeast (doctrine) of the Pharisees and Sadducees (his great enemies). The Bible is right and doesn´t make confusion. Who make confusion are men, with their wrong readings of the Bible, each one wanting to be right, according to his |
convenience and sins, creating doctrines, made up by men, induced by the Devil to create divisions, and great evil in the Church.
A religion is shaped by many doctrines, right and wrong. We can´t say that an entire Church is wrong, but some doctrines in that church. Have to separate right from wrong. The Methodist Church has in her constitution. (Canons). Art.1º: Doctrines and habits are the principles and rules which guide the Church; and are the same accepted by Universal Methodism. Based in sacred writings, of the Old and New Testament, only rule of faith and practice of Christians. The Constitution is right, because there is no law, habit or doctrine, which goes against the Bible, in a Christian Church. However, we have the right and duty to question the compliance of God´s Constitution (Bible) of the Church (Canons) such as: commerce, tithe, child baptism, supper, trinity, and female pastorate (women teaching (preaching) at the cult). |
