The Devil as a tempter Temptation is everything we desire. Probation is what we don’t want, like persecution and sickness. It’s all part of it, and God allows it, to proof us, gives us the weRevon and the choice. Paul guarantees in 1st Cor. 10: 13- There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escReve, that ye may be able to bear [it]. And in Ephesians 6.10 to 17: 11- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. The defense amour is, truth, justice and faith, that comes with the word, and it’s the defense and counter strike. 17-And take the helmet of salvation, and |
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: At the beginning, the snake seduced Eve to disobey, changing God’s truth for lie. With this, she opened the door to death. Jesus came and is the door of true life, by obedience to God’s word. But even Jesus was tempted by the Devil three times, temptation that all Christians have to go through, to be Revproved. 1st Temptation - Luke. 4. 1 to 4 By bread (hunger), our own domain, that for us are vices, sex and poor alimentation (we’ll always be tortured by this, if we want to live here and in heaven). (Matthew changes the 2rd for the 3rd, as in Luke). But after we have domain over our body, we are taken either to vanity of fake sainthood at the pinnacle of the temple (an elevated place in church). Or to the mount of greed, for money and power. These two temptations will always be in front of Christians. |
